Job summary

Providence Public School District (PPSD) seeks a Human Resources Partner to support staffing for instructional and non-instructional roles across schools and departments in Providence. The HR Partner will work under the Senior HR Staffing Partner and coordinate with principals and central office to recruit, hire, onboard, and manage staffing needs efficiently.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s in HR or related field, 3+ years in HR, and preferred SHRM/PHR certification.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent professional experience preferred.
SHRM or PHR certification preferred.
Minimum of 3 years experience serving in human resources or related role.
Experience working in an urban education setting preferred.

Responsibilities

Support Senior Staffing Partners as principals’ and department heads’ point of contact to provide thoughtful advice and guidance.
Assist in planning for staff vacancies, transfers, and staffing implications of budget decisions.
Monitor hiring and staffing metrics and data at school and department levels.
Review vacancies and licensure requirements and approve new hires.
Collaborate with recruitment to hire high quality talent.
Guide new hires through onboarding and ensure all documentation is completed.
