New Jersey Department of Education invites applications for the County School Business Administrator. The role reports to the Division of Field Support and Services and oversees budget development, district collaboration, and efficiency improvements in county and local districts.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or CPA license) and NJ Admin Certificate with the appropriate endorsement. Five years in public education with three in school business management are expected, plus eligibility to work in

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or a CPA license.
• Five (5) years of experience in public education, at least three (3) years of which shall be experience in school business management including school budget preparation and/or review.
• New Jersey Administrative Certificate with endorsement for either School Business Administrator or Assistant Superintendent for Business.

Responsibilities

• Advise and consult with local school districts on business and other support practices.
• Coordinate county office and local district staff in school business practices pursuant to law and regulations.
• Review and approve school budgets with the Executive County Superintendent; analyze district budgets and financial aid requests to increase efficiency and cost savings.
