Job summary

Experience Columbus is seeking a Sales Manager to drive growth as a premier meetings destination. You will own the sales cycle for 300–750 peak room nights outside DC/VA/MD and 300–499 within those markets, building relationships with associations, corporates and partners.

Work with hotels, the convention center, venues and Marketing to develop proposals, conduct site visits, and win new business while delivering exceptional client service and active industry involvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales within hospitality, tourism or events.
• Strong organizational and deadline-driven capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Own all accounts and leads requiring peak room nights in target markets.
• Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract.
• Develop and execute sales strategies to meet goals and bookings.
• Prepare persuasive proposals and presentations for clients.
• Coordinate events and site visits to showcase Columbus advantages.
• Maintain relationships with hotels and venues and collaborate with Marketing.
