Job summary

SOSi seeks a Risk Mitigation Specialist-Expert to support a government client in Tampa, FL. The role involves near real-time data collection and analysis to validate people, assets, and information environments and to inform defensive measures.

Responsibilities include risk assessments, threat analysis, and development of countermeasures. Travel to CONUS/OCONUS locations may be required; Top Secret/SCI with CI Poly is required or obtainable.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain CI Poly.
• Master’s degree or equivalent professional experience at GS/GG-15 level.
• Minimum 20 years of combined Risk Mitigation experience, with at least 10 years since 2015 within the customer’s Enterprise or Interagency equivalents.
• Ability to define problems, supervise studies and lead surveys to collect and analyze data for actionable advice.
• Experience providing strategic guidance to Defense planners and policymakers.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with CI Analysts to present threats and risk probabilities.
• Perform comprehensive risk assessments for intelligence operations, new tech, or partnerships.
• Analyze FIE threats, tactics, targeting patterns to inform defenses.
• Conduct vulnerability analyses of internal processes and systems to identify weaknesses.
• Interview personnel to determine root cause, scope and impact of incidents.
• Design countermeasures to reduce risks to an acceptable level.
• Create and deliver tailored security, CI, and OPSEC briefings for staff.
• Coordinate with legal, policy, and technical experts to ensure mitigations are feasible and compliant.
• Monitor and report on compliance with agency and IC-wide security policies.

Education

Master’s degree in Public Policy, Government, International Affairs/Relations, or closely related discipline
