Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned procurement professional in Kentucky to drive regional category strategies and supplier management for the automotive sector. You will analyze market trends, build cost models, and lead cross-functional initiatives with global teams to achieve productivity gains.

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of purchasing experience, with ERP/JDE experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
• 5+ years of purchasing experience.
• Automotive industry background.
• ERP experience with JDE preferred but not required.
• Strong Excel background.
• Experience with ERP systems such as JDE LX.
• Experience building category cost models/clean sheets.
• Experience monitoring raw materials, FX, and market trends.
• Strong influencing and change management experience.
• Ability to manage complexity and multiple priorities.
• Experience working with a global and diverse team in North America.
• This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Support execution of category strategy within the region
• Analyze current situations, develop improvement plans, execute plans, and communicate them for internal adoption
• Identify and onboard suppliers aligned with category strategy
• Drive total-cost-of-ownership improvement and deliver 5% year-over-year productivity
• Lead and manage supplier relationships as the local representative for global affiliates
• Support the Lead Category Manager on project management and execution of category and regional strategies
• Build category cost models/clean sheets
• Monitor raw material, foreign exchange, and market trends
• Manage complexity and multiple priorities
• Work with a global and diverse team in North America
