Job summary

Brady Corporation, headquartered in Milwaukee, WI, seeks a Purchasing Supervisor to oversee multi-line procurement and support a buyers team. You will drive end-to-end purchasing processes, optimize inventory, and partner with other departments to improve on-time delivery and efficiency.

Ideal candidates bring a bachelor’s in Supply Chain, 3+ years in manufacturing, strong forecasting/MRP knowledge, and proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Minimum 3 year of experience in a manufacturing environment using all of the required skills.
• Must possess a good understanding of forecasting and MRP.
• Must have excellent communication, presentation and problem solving skills.
• The ability to work effectively within a team environment, including leading a project team.
• Must be able to effectively manage multiple and changing priorities.
• Proficient in SAP planning and production functionality and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate purchasing staff.
• Direct daily workflow and schedules of the department.
• Conduct performance evaluations and address disciplinary issues.
• Develop and implement purchasing strategies and policies.
• Ensure compliance with organizational procurement policies and procedures.
• Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, from requisition to delivery.
• Evaluate suppliers based on quality, timeliness, and price.
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods and services.
• Manage inventory levels to minimize costs and ensure availability.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
• May be involved in developing and implementing purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures.
• May research and evaluate vendors to compare pricing and services.
• May be required to perform other related duties as assigned
