Job summary

Rolls-Royce Power Systems is hiring a Senior Buyer - Strategic Purchasing in the North America region. The role supports production material procurement from a hybrid work location, with 2 onsite days per week.

You will develop supplier strategies, manage cross-functional projects, and negotiate terms across global suppliers. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 5 years of procurement or 9 years of experience, strong negotiation skills, and willingness to travel

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Materials Management, or Business Finance; 5 years of procurement/supply chain experience, or 9 years in procurement.
• Strong negotiation, cost analysis, and supplier management skills.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally; hybrid role with 2 onsite days.

Responsibilities

• Process purchasing award summaries and documents for production material.
• Develop International Commodity Team strategies aligned with Global/Regional Purchasing and Logistics.
• Manage cross-functional projects on time and within budget.
• Develop sourcing lists and monitor supplier performance.
• Resolve pricing, invoicing and contract issues with suppliers.
• Negotiate pricing, terms and annual contracts.
• Evaluate and select new suppliers based on price, quality, delivery and services.
• Maintain open communication with internal departments and suppliers.
