Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, or related field, plus six years of management/administrative experience.
• A Master’s degree is preferred and may substitute for one year of experience.
• Experience in local government or public relations/advertising agency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day operation of citywide communications programs and projects.
• Develop comprehensive communications strategies across City departments and programs.
• Coordinate speaking opportunities and thought-leadership programs, presentations, advertising, and events.
• Develop targeted awareness or behavior-change campaigns and communications plans.
• Develop and implement regular measurement and reporting tools.
• Manage publications, including planning, graphic design, production, and distribution.
• Oversee service vendor contracts and the Office of Communications budget.
• Represent the Director of Communications as assigned.
