Job summary

CAI is seeking a Proposal Manager to lead proposal development from kickoff to bid submission, coordinating with Practice Leaders, business development and operations to ensure compliant, high-quality responses.

You will collect inputs, manage timelines, track margins and quality, and drive process improvements while maintaining strong communications with stakeholders. A background in pharmaceutical proposals is a plus.

Qualifications

BA/BS in English, liberal arts, business, engineering, marketing, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 5 years of experience developing and producing proposals; pharmaceutical industry preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills with cross-disciplinary collaboration.
Ability to work flexible hours and shift priorities while meeting deadlines.
Ability to organize large volumes of information and coordinate proposals.
Excellent English written and verbal communication; professional demeanor.
Strong Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills; CRM experience desired.
Ability to navigate Adobe and Microsoft templates to maintain branding.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Practice Leaders, business development and operations to drive proposals.
Collect and manage development of proposal responses with regional teams.
Review and measure quality of proposals written by others.
Assist with continuous process improvement and lessons learned.
Lead the overall proposal development from creation to bid submission.
Gather, analyze, and communicate metrics for proposals and team performance.
Potentially lead part of the Proposal team.
