Job summary

Georgia Power in Georgia seeks a Strategic Projects Portfolio Project Coordinator to lead and oversee distribution projects and budget lines within the strategic project portfolio. The role supports Project Managers in development, execution, and coordination with internal stakeholders across the distribution organization.

The position requires a four-year degree, 4+ years of relevant experience, and travel up to 25% for cross-functional collaboration and meetings.

Qualifications

• Requires a four-year degree; BS in Science/Engineering is a plus.
• Minimum 4 years in Distribution, Transmission or project management.
• Experience presenting projects at DPRT, TPRT and T&D committees preferred.
• Experience with capital and O&M budgets is a plus; safety-focused.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication; ability to work with varied partners.
• Must adapt to travel up to 25% and coordinate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate design, engineering, procurement, land acquisition, and construction for multiple distribution projects.
• Support deconflicting processes across SPP and distribution capital portfolio.
• Regularly communicate project status to stakeholders; elevate cost/schedule issues.
• Monitor costs, forecasts, scope changes, and obtain approvals prior to construction.
• Define tasks, milestones, and resources balancing cost, schedule, regulatory, environmental, and community factors.
• Track progress, resolve issues with internal/external partners, adjust plans as needed.
• Expedite documentation to secure timely approvals and support emergency restoration.
