Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Project Quality Manager II to own quality on capital projects from the owner's side. You will write the project quality plan, set surveillance and audit programs, and qualify vendors and inspection subcontractors.

You will report quality performance to the project manager and the owner's quality organization. The role requires driving conformance, managing nonconformances, and ensuring turnover-ready records for a successful project handover.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in quality on construction or industrial capital projects.
• 2+ years leading a project quality program.
• ISO 9001 lead or internal auditor certification; ASQ CQA or CMQ-OE preferred.
• Experience with owner-side quality programs in industrial, energy, infrastructure, or federal work.
• Able to write quality requirements that contractors can actually execute, and to enforce them.

Responsibilities

• Write the project quality plan and the contractor and supplier quality requirements that flow from it.
• Plan and lead surveillance and audits of contractors and suppliers.
• Qualify vendors and inspection agencies.
• Review and accept contractor QC plans, ITPs, procedures, and inspector qualifications.
• Own the project nonconformance, corrective-action, and lessons-learned processes.
• Report quality metrics and risks to project leadership and the owner's quality organization.
• Turnover is the end goal; ensure records are complete and audit-ready.
