Job summary

AISIN World Corp. of America in Cibolo, TX is seeking a Project Purchasing Buyer to lead supplier activities for its manufacturing facility, focusing on cost analysis, performance, and cross-functional collaboration.

The role requires strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills, with oversight of change processes and supplier scorecards to ensure timely delivery and quality. On-site work and travel as needed are expected.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication for internal and external contacts.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and ability to create graphs and charts.
• Bachelor's degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support daily supplier-related issue resolution to minimize production disruption.
• Analyze and review current production costs to identify variances and cost improvements.
• Drive supplier performance improvement initiatives, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve supplier-related quality, delivery, and operational concerns.
• Manage change point activities within the mass production supplier base (ECI, PCR, ECR, RSPME).
• Lead current production projects, including resourcing and volume increase initiatives with cross-functional coordination.
• Support plant meetings by reporting on purchasing and supplier activities.
• Strengthen relationships with suppliers as primary liaison between plant and supply base.
• Support IATF audit activities ensuring supplier processes and documentation meet compliance.
• Lead Supplier Scorecard management including tracking, reporting, and communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Lead monthly cost approval/reporting and other related tasks.
