Job summary

Wabtec Freight is seeking a Project Engineer in Las Vegas, NV to manage technical aspects of assigned projects, ensure timely delivery, quality, and compliance. You will coordinate with internal teams and suppliers, lead design and development activities, and drive improvements in mechanical components and processes.

The role requires a solid engineering background, project management experience, and the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.

Qualifications

• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities.
• Knowledge of mechanical design and manufacturing processes.
• Background in mechanical testing and NDT inspection methods.
• Experience with GD&T, manufacturing processes, tooling, and Six Sigma.
• Proficiency with Excel or other project management tools.

Responsibilities

• Works within defined parameters to make decisions on high-complexity issues.
• Provides direction to the engineering team to meet objectives.
• Resolves issues through action or short-term planning.
• Develops and fulfills engineering planning for assigned projects.
• Attends and leads customer meetings.
• Supports design and development of mechanical components and processes.
• Ensures reliability and compliance via simulation-based development and design.
