Job summary

Actus Nutrition in Jerome, Idaho is seeking a Production Scheduling Manager to develop and maintain an integrated plant schedule that aligns materials, production capacity, inventory, and shipments at our Jerome West Facility.

You will coordinate across Operations, Procurement, Warehousing, Quality, and Transportation to support safe, efficient production and on-time shipment execution while promptly communicating constraints and schedule changes to plant leadership.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years experience in finance, inventory control, or purchasing in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands on knowledge of ERP systems, process improvement, or manufacturing tools.
• Strong project management, interpersonal and analytical skills.
• Excellent knowledge of Computer Business Systems and their applications.
• APICS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and communicate the integrated production schedule based on incoming material availability, production capacity, inventory levels, customer requirements, and shipping commitments.
• Maintain understanding of all incoming products, ingredients, by-products, storage requirements, and shipping capabilities.
• Coordinate inbound delivery schedules with Procurement, traffic coordinators, carriers, truck drivers, and intake operators.
• Translate production plans into clear daily and weekly schedules, including sequence, volumes, changeovers, storage needs, and shipment timing.
• Track products produced and by-products against the schedule and coordinate corrective actions for constraints.
• Schedule outbound liquid shipments, including carrier timing, product availability, tank capacity, and documentation.
• Schedule outbound powder shipments, including finished goods availability, warehouse staging, carrier appointments, load sequencing, and documentation.
• Communicate schedule priorities, changes, constraints, and recovery plans to plant leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Provide complete shift handoffs and planning updates for incoming teams.
• Notify Procurement when inbound schedules cannot be met and coordinate alternatives.
• Maintain accurate schedules in ERP, scheduling, inventory, and transportation systems.
• Support investigation and reconciliation of inventory discrepancies with Finance and Operations.
• Monitor schedule attainment and recommend process improvements to enhance flow and on-time shipping.
• Perform other scheduling, logistics, and administrative duties as assigned.
