Job summary

Lonestar Integrated Solutions in Houston, TX is seeking a Production Planner to coordinate work orders, manage schedules, and optimize shop capacity to ensure on-time delivery while maintaining quality standards.

The successful candidate will collaborate with engineering, purchasing, and operations to align production timelines with project specs, analyze capacity data, and maintain accurate planning in ERP/MRP systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, production planning, scheduling, or inventory control.
• Experience in electrical manufacturing / panel shops preferred.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Excel.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data and capacity.
• Excellent organization and time management; multitasking.
• Strong communication; cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain daily and weekly production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements.
• Release, prioritize, and sequence manufacturing work orders based on capacity, labor availability, and material readiness.
• Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to address bottlenecks, delays, or changing priorities.
• Coordinate with purchasing to ensure materials are available to support scheduled production activities.
• Analyze labor and machine capacity to maintain balanced workflow and maximize throughput.
• Track production metrics and performance indicators to identify improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with engineering to align production timelines with project specifications and design changes.
• Communicate schedule updates and production status to operations, sales, and leadership teams.
• Maintain accurate planning data within ERP/MRP systems.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to workflow efficiency and cost reduction.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
