Job summary

IGEN seeks a Director of Product Management to lead product strategy, portfolio governance, and delivery excellence in a modernizing, Agile organization. The role aligns strategy with client value, regulatory needs, and platform modernization, guiding PMs, Owners, BAs, and Scrum leaders across a cross-functional team.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in product leadership, strong executive communication, and a track record of enterprise SaaS success. Based in Appleton, WI with Midwest travel.

Qualifications

• Eight or more years of progressive experience in Product Management, product leadership or a closely related software-product discipline.
• At least five years of experience leading Product Managers or multidisciplinary product teams.
• Demonstrated success leading product strategy and execution in a B2B SaaS or enterprise software environment.
• Experience leading products through a major platform modernization, cloud transformation, re-architecture or migration.
• Demonstrated understanding of roles across Product Managers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, Scrum Masters, Engineering and Quality Engineering.
• Experience building or maturing a product operating model across multiple cross-functional teams.
• Proven ability to manage a portfolio, arbitrate competing priorities and make difficult investment tradeoffs.
• Experience establishing outcome-based product measures, including OKRs, adoption metrics or client-value measures.
• Strong written, verbal and executive communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead through influence across Product, Technology, Sales, Operations and client-facing functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead IGEN's Product Management organization and own the strategic direction of the product portfolio.
• Establish and maintain product roadmaps aligned to company strategy, client needs, regulatory requirements, and platform modernization priorities.
• Prioritize investments, initiatives, and resources across the portfolio to maximize business and customer value.
• Ensure product decisions are guided by measurable outcomes, market insights, client feedback, and business objectives.
• Lead the Product Delivery function, including Product Managers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Scrum leadership.
• Establish operating models, standards, and governance that connect product strategy to effective execution.
• Ensure teams maintain clear priorities, well-defined requirements, and delivery-ready backlogs that support predictable outcomes.
• Partner with Technology leadership to align product priorities, engineering capacity, architectural direction, and delivery commitments.
• Serve as a key leader in platform modernization and SaaS transformation initiatives.
• Ensure product roadmaps support both near-term client value and long-term evolution.
• Drive adoption of modern product management practices, Agile ways of working, and continuous improvement.
• Champion innovation, automation, analytics, and AI-enabled capabilities where they create meaningful value.
• Partner with Industry Strategy, Sales, Marketing, Client Outcomes, and executives to reflect market opportunities and customer needs.
• Maintain awareness of industry trends and evolving client expectations.
• Represent the voice of the customer throughout the product lifecycle and ensure value delivery.
• Build, lead, coach, and develop a high-performing Product Management organization.
• Establish clear roles, responsibilities, decision rights, and career pathways across Product Management and Product Delivery.
• Foster accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
• Lead talent acquisition, workforce planning, and organizational development as the function grows.
• Cultivate U.S. Venture’s values and champion continuous improvement and quality control.
