Job summary

US Foods seeks an experienced Category Manager to own the implementation plan for the Area produce category across multiple distribution centers. You will align local assortment with US Foods strategy, identify growth opportunities, and ensure profitable sales growth within the Area.

You will lead data gathering from culinary teams and sales staff, coordinate with QA and logistics to maintain quality and timely delivery, and drive weekly communications with the sales team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• 7+ years of category management experience preferred.
• Experience in Food Service or Food Manufacturing is preferred.
• Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to operate in a matrix organization.

Responsibilities

• Own implementation plan for Area produce category and operational strategies for multiple DCs.
• Review Area product assortment and identify growth opportunities and slow-moving items.
• Lead weekly produce communications with the sales team.
• Support QA, logistics and inventory control to maintain quality and on-time delivery.
