Job summary

Malco Automotive in Barberton, OH is seeking a Purchasing Specialist to support the Materials Manager and Purchasing Manager in purchasing, planning, and inventory control for finished goods and components.

You will collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to place purchase orders on time, maintain stock levels, and document pricing in the ERP system, while identifying cost-reduction opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a buyer, preferably in manufacturing.
• Familiarity with purchasing procedures and documentation requirements.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Dynamics AX preferred.

Responsibilities

• Purchasing & Order Management: place and track purchase orders, maintain stock levels, document competitive bidding, and manage vendor relationships.
• Expediting & Order Follow-Up: monitor back orders, expedite deliveries, and communicate delivery dates to affected departments.
• Process Improvement & Compliance: drive procurement process improvements and follow the Quality Policy and procedures.
