Job summary

EY is seeking a Category Management & Sourcing Consulting Manager to lead a team in assessing clients’ category management and sourcing capabilities. You will drive cost reduction, improve service, and optimize sourcing strategies, leveraging AI-driven approaches to deliver value for clients across diverse sectors.

You will guide workshops, own deliverables, and mentor junior team members while collaborating with client stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or related field.
• 5-8 years in strategic sourcing and category management, with at least 2 years in procurement consulting.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes and best practices.
• Category experience in indirect or direct category management.
• Demonstrated experience in shaping and defining solutions that drive total cost reduction or capability improvement.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a client-facing consultant to assess opportunities for strategic procurement improvement.
• Lead process workshops with clients to gather information and identify opportunities for total cost reduction.
• Identify challenges in category management and recommend innovative solutions leveraging leading practices.
• Develop work plans and support overall program management of engagements.
• Own deliverables throughout the project lifecycle and ensure client alignment.
• Design and implement AI-driven procurement solutions to optimize decision-making.
• Develop category expertise across spend categories and conduct spend/market analytics.
• Lead teams in strategic sourcing and other total cost reduction efforts.
• Foster relationships with client stakeholders for successful project delivery.
