Zusammenfassung

CFA Institute is seeking a Procurement Category Analyst in the United States to support category management and contracting activities. You will analyze vendor spend, develop dashboards, and translate data into actionable insights for sourcing decisions.

You will work with Category Managers and stakeholders to improve contract utilization, forecast spend, and strengthen data governance across procurement systems. Strong Excel and BI skills are essential.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in procurement, sourcing, category management or related analytics projects.
• Strong data interpretation, trend analysis and integrity controls.
• Ability to build reports/dashboards using BI tools or advanced Excel.

Aufgaben

• Analyze vendor spend to identify trends, cost drivers, consolidation opportunities, tail spend and risk.
• Develop dashboards and reporting covering category performance, contract utilization, renewal timelines and vendor performance.
• Collate and translate procurement data into clear, actionable insights for executives.
• Support category planning, sourcing events, RFPs and vendor selection with structured analysis.
• Provide analytical support for vendor negotiations through financial summaries and cost modelling.
• Track contract milestones, renewal dates and supplier performance with the Contracts Manager.
• Conduct market research to identify pricing trends and supplier risks.
• Support forecasting, budgeting, and total cost of ownership analyses.
• Maintain procurement data and strengthen data governance across systems.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows and automate recurring reporting.
• Develop KPI frameworks and compliance reporting for a structured procurement function.
