A leading design consultancy in Texas is looking for a Preconstruction Manager to oversee and enhance the preconstruction process. This role demands extensive experience in general contracting and construction, particularly within the manufacturing or industrial sectors. You will collaborate with industry experts to design solutions for clients while managing project estimates and schedules throughout various stages. The ideal candidate will have a strong educational background in engineering or construction management, alongside proficiency in key software including Procore and MS Project.
Qualifications
10 years of General Contractor related construction and preconstruction experience.
At least 5 years directly involved with construction projects.
Experience negotiating contracts and putting bids together.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain effective preconstruction program.
Maintain master project estimate and cost database.
Participate in developing initial project estimates.
Skills
General contractor related construction experience
Manufacturing or industrial sector construction experience
Negotiating contracts
Construction estimating and procurement experience
Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam
Excellent time management skills
Willingness to travel
Education
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management
