Job summary

Clayco is seeking a Preconstruction Cost Manager to develop and manage the financial strategy during the Preconstruction phase. You will work closely with senior leaders and project executives to monitor cost spends, develop staff, and ensure rigorous cost controls for pursuits.

Responsibilities include cost estimation, control activities, and maintaining transparency in all cost deliverables. This role requires collaboration with accounting and project teams, travel to Chicago or St.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or Construction Management, or related degree.
• 5-10 years of Project Cost experience; minimum 4 years in construction.
• Proficiency with PMWeb, DataServ, Excel, JD Edwards or related software.
• Strong problem-solving, results oriented, and able to deliver on commitments.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with EVP of Preconstruction and executives to monitor cost spends.
• Develop staff, general conditions, and general requirement monitors for pursuits.
• Generate and maintain reports for cost controls leadership and management.
• Identify variances and risks; maintain quality control in preconstruction cost procedures.
• Take ownership of cost control function and ensure integrity of reports.
