Job summary

Foundation Health Partners in Alaska is seeking an in-person policy administration specialist to coordinate and evaluate system-wide policy development and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in healthcare or related field and 3+ years of healthcare compliance experience, with strong communication and planning skills. Expect 40-hour weeks, day shifts, and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

  • Requires knowledge typically obtained with a Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business, management or related field.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience in hospital, healthcare, or business operations compliance with knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Administers and maintains an accurate and compliant policy and procedure database.
  • Evaluates regulatory, accrediting, and certification agencies for changes to aid timely identification and notification.
  • Serves as a strategic partner to leadership regarding policy management and minimizing risks.
  • Researches, interprets, and applies state and federal rules in policy development and workflows.
  • Conducts observations, tracers, building tours, document reviews and interviews to ascertain facility compliance.
  • Provides education and assistance to internal departmental leaders to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Plans, leads, implements, and coordinates activities related to policy creation or management.
  • Performs quality and regulatory review and approval of policy and procedure documents.
  • Supports implementation of facility quality and patient safety activities to meet regulatory requirements.
