Job summary

Marvin in Kansas City is seeking a Plant Controller to partner with Operations, directing financial planning and coordinating the plant budget in line with corporate goals. You will lead monthly financial results, forecasts, risks and opportunities, plus KPIs, and oversee standard-costs, variances, and inventory controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Cost accounting experience.
• Experience with comprehensive ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Partner with plant leadership to translate financial data into actionable recommendations.
• Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting for labor, material, overhead, and capital.
• Maintain standard-cost system and analyze variances across purchase price, labor, and overhead.
• Provide financial analysis for continuous-improvement initiatives and capacity decisions.
• Oversee inventory accounting, cycle counts, and obsolescence reserves.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and adherence to internal controls.
