Job summary

St. Croix County is seeking a leader to oversee the Planning and Land Information Division within the Community Development Department. You will supervise staff, manage budgeting, and coordinate GIS, land information, and planning services for local municipalities.

The role requires strategic planning, strong supervisory experience, and the ability to engage with the public and regional agencies. Strong Microsoft Office, GIS, and AutoCAD skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in land use planning, GIS, geography, or closely related field.
• Seven years of work experience in land use planning.
• Three years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and supervision for division staff, including hiring, training, assigning and reviewing work, and conducting performance evaluations.
• Assists the Director on developing annual division budget by identifying all expected revenues and expenditures.
• Oversees grant projects and accurately documents information to satisfy grant requirements.
• Organizes and directs day-to-day operations of the Division in land use planning, GIS, Real Property Listers, and land information.
• Coordinates GIS development and implementation within county departments including tax parcels, house addresses, road centerline data for emergency services, zoning, and other purposes.
• Schedules, plans, and coordinates public meetings, open houses, and workshops for elected officials and the general public.
