Job description

Job Description

Oracle Research Services is seeking a Strategic Planning and Organization Program Manager to support the Group Vice President. In this role, you will help translate leadership priorities into coordinated action, strengthen executive communications, and improve how the organization plans, makes decisions, and follows through on commitments.

As part of the Office of the Group Vice President, you will be a trusted thought partner to the GVP and work across a complex, matrixed organization. You will partner closely with the leader responsible for strategy execution and the Executive Assistant responsible for executive operations and meeting logistics. Your focus will be executive decision support, leadership meeting content, cross-functional coordination, and organizational effectiveness.

What you will bring
  • Experience coordinating complex, concurrent initiatives across multiple functions in a matrixed organization.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to turn complex information into concise executive materials and actionable recommendations.

  • Strong planning and program management skills, with attention to detail and consistent follow-through across competing priorities.

  • Experience supporting leadership governance, business reviews, executive communications, and recurring planning and reporting processes.

  • Sound judgment, executive presence, and discretion when handling sensitive information and supporting leadership decisions.

  • Ability to influence without formal authority, build trusted relationships, and establish clarity and structure in ambiguous situations.

  • Experience developing practical trackers, frameworks, playbooks, and decision-support materials that improve consistency and execution.

Required qualifications
  • 10 years of progressive experience in business operations, strategic planning, program management, or a Chief of Staff capacity, including advising senior executives, leading cross-functional initiatives, and translating business priorities into actionable plans and measurable outcomes.

  • 6 years of experience managing and optimizing structured business processes and frameworks, including cross-functional governance, rhythm of business processes, with a proven ability to drive execution and operational excellence.

  • 6 years of excellent written communication experience, with a proven ability to develop executive-ready materials with minimal guidance from senior leaders.

  • 5 years of experience thriving in fast-paced, matrixed organizations, with a proven ability to drive results independently and without direct team support.

Preferred qualifications
  • Experience supporting leaders at the Vice President level or above.

  • Healthcare or life sciences industry experience.

  • Familiarity with organizational planning, change management, and business process improvement.

The impact you will make

You will help the GVP and leadership team anticipate issues, make timely decisions, and maintain focus on the organization’s highest priorities. • Coordinate cross-functional initiatives. Manage planning, milestones, dependencies, status reporting, and escalations for assigned initiatives. Identify gaps, overlaps, and blockers, and work with accountable leaders to keep priorities moving.

  • Strengthen organizational effectiveness. Improve processes, clarify roles and decision ownership, and develop repeatable playbooks, frameworks, trackers, and templates. Support change management for organizational and process improvements.

  • Enable clear executive communications. Develop and coordinate internal and external leadership communications, including all-hands content, leadership updates, and newsletters. Tailor messages to the audience and surface organizational feedback and concerns to leadership.

  • Maintain visibility into business performance. Support tracking of key performance indicators, objectives and key results, and progress against strategic priorities. Prepare planning and reporting materials and support decisions on resource requests, approvals, and escalations.
