Job summary

Vertiv in Delaware, OH is seeking a Strategic Planner to support the Power Project Management Office, shaping directions and creating plans to meet business objectives. You will solve customer challenges and collaborate across AC Power product lines and functions to allocate resources and maximize ROI.

The role involves researching industry trends, developing forecasting models and budgets, and analyzing data to identify improvement opportunities.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in a consulting firm or internal business consulting function leading initiative teams in strategy, operations, and transformation project work.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Complex program management experience.
  • Analytical skills to understand the impact of recommendations on the organization and change management needs.
  • Clear, well-developed oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build diverse relationships internally and externally and excel within a matrix organization.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; Smartsheet and Power BI experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support product strategy team with analysis, tools, models, and management cadence for selected areas of strategic growth.
  • Conduct primary and secondary research to examine competitive performance, market need, and growth opportunities.
  • Support business leaders in structuring business cases, customer segmentation, competitive analysis, value-based pricing, economic benchmarking, and technological analysis.
  • Develop market segmentation and working models, deriving insights from internal and external data sources.
  • Assist in developing recommendations and business plans for programs and service development.
  • Consult with stakeholders to uncover solutions to business challenges through critical thinking, external benchmarking, and internal best practices.
  • Drive proactive project cadence and momentum with stakeholders to ensure timely and successful outcomes.
  • Manipulate market databases, financial modeling, and analysis tools such as Excel and Power BI to construct forecasts and analytical models.

Job Summary

The Strategic Planner supports the Power Project Management Office, shaping company direction and creating plans to achieve business objectives by solving customers’ most pressing challenges. The role collaborates across AC Power product lines and functional teams to create recommendations, maintain a competitive edge, and allocate resources effectively to maximize return on investments. Researches and analyzes industry and competitive trends, identifies and prioritizes product and service improvement opportunities, and develops complex forecasting models, budgets, and resource allocation plans.

This position will be located onsite at our Delaware, OH location.

Responsibilities

Requirements
