Job summary

Bayonne Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy leader to direct the hospital's Pharmacy program, ensuring compliant storage, compounding and distribution of medications. The role involves budgeting, vendor negotiations, and leadership of pharmacy personnel.

The candidate will oversee purchasing, inventory, and quality improvement initiatives, while collaborating with medical staff and serving on the Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a college of pharmacy accredited by ACPE.
• Hospital pharmacy residency program accredited by ASHP.
• Advanced degree in Pharmacy with emphasis on management skills desirable.

Responsibilities

• Directs the hospital's Pharmacy program in accordance with laws governing storage, compounding and distribution of medications.
• Develops, approves and administers department policies and procedures to comply with federal/state laws and Joint Commission standards.
• Prepares and manages the department budget and monitors adherence; initiates corrective actions as needed.
• Develops and administers Pharmacy programs and services ensuring prompt, accurate preparation and distribution of medications.
• Provides drug information to physicians, nurses and other health professionals and serves on hospital committees.
