Job summary

Qualifications

• B.S. or PharmD from ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy required.
• Five years hospital leadership experience or PGY2 leadership residency preferred.
• Knowledge of legal responsibilities of the pharmacist to the facility and laws governing pharmacy services.
• Current Pharmacist license in good standing with State Board of Pharmacy.
• Current Consultant Pharmacist license and Controlled Substance License if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, controls, and supervises activities in hospital pharmacy per policies and laws.
• Establishes quality improvement, fiscal, productivity, and patient satisfaction goals with upper management.
• Supervises dissemination of drug information and education of hospital personnel.
• Directs activities of pharmacy personnel and provides professional guidance.
• Leads new program development, implementation, and evaluation.
• Ensures compliance with safety, security, infection control, and regulatory requirements.
• Participates in hospital committees and supports department operations and patient care.
