Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Strategic Permit Manager to coordinate AHJ approvals for data center development across Arlington, VA; Austin, TX; and Seattle, WA. The role requires strong project management, cross-functional collaboration, and experience with government stakeholders.

You will own permitting strategies, engage AHJs, and drive schedules with internal and external teams while traveling up to 50% of the time.

Qualifications

Minimum entitlement or site development permitting experience.
Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams and schedules.
Extensive project management experience in real estate development.
Significant work with government officials and regulatory bodies.

Responsibilities

Identify all government approvals required to construct data center infrastructure.
Support entitlements approval process.
Coordinate internal and external teams to create and execute a permitting plan.
Own AHJ relationships as the single point of contact for negotiations.
Identify, assess, mitigate and communicate risks to permitting strategy.
Manage entitlement and permitting scheduling consultants and specialists.
Track permit delivery metrics and conduct after-action reviews.
Travel 25-50% of the time.
