Job summary

City of Chula Vista is seeking an experienced Organizational Development & Training Manager to lead the design and implementation of comprehensive organizational development strategies and impactful training initiatives that strengthen readiness, support employee growth, and cultivate a forward-thinking workforce.

Qualifications

  • Requires at least five years of progressively responsible experience in managing, designing, and/or implementing employee training and workforce development programs.
  • Includes at least two years of supervisory responsibility and a Bachelor's degree with relevant major coursework.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and supervise the Organizational Development and Training division.
  • Design and execute learning programs spanning performance, development, change management, and leadership.
  • Manage learning initiatives including analysis, design, development, deployment, communication, and evaluation.
  • Plan and administer staff learning and development goals, policies, and priorities.
  • Design, deliver, and evaluate training for all employee levels, from new hires to senior leadership.
