U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) within the Department of Homeland Security seeks an experienced Operations Research Specialist at the GS-14 level. You will apply advanced analytics to solve complex organizational problems, design models, and present findings to senior leaders.

Locations include Indianapolis, IN; Minneapolis, MN; and Washington, D.C. A degree in OR or related coursework and one year of specialized experience are required, with strong Power BI or Tableau skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in operations research or 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, statistics, or related subjects, with at least 3 calculus hours.

Responsabilités

• Apply advanced operations research theories to solve complex problems.
• Design, develop, and maintain analytical models and performance frameworks in BI tools.
• Lead integration of requirements, processes, and workflows across technology products/systems.
• Conduct risk assessment and develop mitigation for major initiatives.
• Communicate complex analytical results and recommendations to senior management.
