Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking a Category Manager for the OEM & Lifecycle Services team to oversee NA spend, optimize procurement strategies, and manage supplier relationships for controls, automation, and infrastructure—ensuring quality and on‑time delivery.

You will lead strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and contract implementation while collaborating with internal stakeholders across multiple facilities. Strong analytics, negotiation, and travel readiness are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of procurement or supply chain management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Master’s preferred.
• Certifications in procurement/supply chain (CPSM/CSCP) are a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage strategic procurement for OEM & Lifecycle services, including demand analysis, sourcing, negotiations, and supplier performance.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define requirements and operational needs.
• Analyze data from multiple systems to generate insights and drive decisions.
• Develop category strategies and plans leveraging market and spend data.
• Lead supplier sourcing, negotiations, selection, and contract implementation.
