Job summary

Binaytara is seeking a senior financial leader to serve as Controller for the U.S. organization, Nepal branch, and capital projects. You will own the books, set budgets, forecast cash, manage audits, and drive financial clarity for a rapidly growing nonprofit with international projects.

You will lead a small finance team and strengthen controls and reporting. You will partner with Executive Leadership, develop policies, ensure ASC 958 compliance, and oversee grants, donor-restricted funds, and

Qualifications

7+ years of progressively responsible accounting/finance experience, including nonprofit fund accounting (3+ years).
Experience owning month-end close and external audit processes.
Strong command of US GAAP and nonprofit accounting (ASC 958).
Proven leadership and ability to develop finance staff.

Responsibilities

Serve as EL's financial partner; inform organizational strategy and investments.
Prepare and present financial statements, dashboards, and forecasts to EL, Board, and Finance/Audit Committee.
Own accounting cycle, GL, AP/AR, payroll, and month-end close; ensure GAAP compliance.
Oversee grants, donor-restricted funds, and capital campaigns; report donor-restricted activity accurately.
Lead budgeting, FP&A, and cash forecasting; manage reserves and invested funds.
