Job summary

The City of Camden is seeking a dynamic, highly skilled Business Administrator to serve as the chief administrative officer, coordinating diverse municipal operations and departments.

We are looking for a strategic leader with extensive budgetary expertise and a proven track record in municipal administration. Key responsibilities include budget leadership, executive management, governing body liaison, interdepartmental coordination, and public relations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; substitutions allowed for work experience at 1 year per 30 semester hours.
• Five years of management experience; Master’s degree may substitute for one year of required experience.

Responsibilities

• Budgetary leadership: supervise and assist in preparing the municipal budget and ensure fiscal control.
• Executive management: direct administrative matters across all municipal departments and set goals and priorities.
• Governing body liaison: prepare agendas, attend meetings, and advise on policy and public relations.
• Interdepartmental coordination: liaison with municipal attorney, municipal engineer, planning and zoning boards, and other boards.
• Public & community relations: handle inquiries, releases, and records.
