Job summary

Kinross Gold Corporation’s Round Mountain mine in Nevada seeks a Maintenance Planner. Under the Maintenance Planning General Supervisor, you will plan and schedule maintenance work, manage parts and material stores, and align daily activities with Kinross values.

You will develop and maintain maintenance programs, participate in reliability methodologies, and prepare budgets for the assigned area while ensuring safe, compliant operations and effective cross‑functional collaboration with site

Qualifications

• Five years mining or similar industry maintenance experience desirable.
• At least 6 months experience as a parts coordinator preferred.
• Mechanical understanding of process equipment.
• Proficient computer skills and understanding of processes and equipment.
• General understanding of mining, milling, and maintenance operations.
• Strong written, verbal, analytical and persuasive abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a maintenance program to meet production goals.
• Long and short range work planning.
• Apply Reliability Methodologies to improve maintenance strategies.
• Produce standard jobs, preventive and predictive maintenance tasks and schedules.
• Ensure parts and materials are ordered in a timely manner.
• Develop and oversee the Strategic Business Plan and budgeting process for the area.
• Monitor year-to-date cost performance and forecast versus actual.
• Communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management.
• Help develop other department personnel to perform duties listed above.
• Adhere to safety, environmental and company policies.
