Job summary

Designer Brands is seeking a seasoned retail buyer and merchandiser to define seasonal product strategies, build profitable assortments, and partner with clients on line development. You will negotiate with suppliers, review lab dips and tech packs, and drive day-to-day execution of launches while using data to inform line architecture and targets.

Strong Excel/Office, Smartsheet, and Oracle experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of work and experience.
Minimum 3 years of retail buying, product development, merchandising or planning experience.
Custom cut & sew experience preferably in active apparel or knits.
Fluency in MS Office suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
Smartsheet experience a plus.
Oracle experience a plus.

Responsibilities

Define seasonal product strategies that identify future opportunities and trends.
Negotiate, build and source strategic and profitable product assortments.
Independently drive sales through selection of product, pricing and ROI.
Review lab dips and tech packs for accuracy with design team.
Review TOP samples for accuracy and send to client.
Use data to evaluate performance and inform line architecture.
Oversee day-to-day activities for product launches/refreshes.
