Boot Barn seeks a Merchandise Planner to develop, execute, and communicate financial and inventory plans for assigned categories. The Planner will craft plans that meet or exceed sales and gross margin goals, and coordinate with District Managers and Buyers to optimize assortment and stock levels.

The role requires strong analytical skills, collaboration with merchandising teams, and the ability to translate data into actionable strategies that align with Boot Barn’s West heritage and brand

Aufgaben

• Review, analyze and report on actual sales versus forecast by product types, identifying opportunities and explaining forecast revisions.
• Perform detailed trend analyses for products and provide recommendations for deletion or exit strategies based on trends.
• Lead pre-season planning analyses and preparation for senior management review meetings.
• Manage and lead Open-to-Buy (OTB), inventory and receipt plans by forecasting and adjusting as needed.
• Monitor store receipt flow and identify inefficiencies in the receipt process.
• Determine appropriate assortment assignments in collaboration with District Manager and Buyer, balancing volume and space per store.
• Conduct ad-hoc analyses, reporting and project work related to merchandising planning and execution.
• Provide category business analyses related to merchandising planning and execution.
• Perform post-mortem analyses for seasonal events and strategies.
• Participate in departmental strategic planning.
• Demonstrate high quality work, attendance and professionalism in communication and teamwork.
• Adhere to all laws and Company policies; perform other duties as assigned by management.
