Job summary

ITW Specialty Films in Cranbury, NJ seeks a Materials Manager to lead sourcing, purchasing, shipping/receiving and inventory to support production. You will negotiate terms, optimize material availability, and drive cost reductions using ERP, supplier partnerships, and data analytics.

As a strategic partner, you will implement pull-based planning, maintain target inventories, and develop your team in a Lean, continuous-improvement environment aligned with ITW’s 80/20 model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years in purchasing/sourcing and 3+ years in operations or supply chain.
• Strong proficiency in ERP systems (Infor Preferred).
• Experience in sourcing, supplier management, and inventory control.
• Advanced data analysis skills; able to translate insights into actionable strategies.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with 80/20 principles and lean manufacturing concepts a plus.
• Understanding of basic business financials and cost drivers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with ITW’s 80/20 model.
• Use site ERP and ITW Toolbox to plan and purchase materials and ensure material availability.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels and manage supplier relationships.
• Oversee inbound/outbound logistics and ensure safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance.
• Lead and develop a team of non-exempt materials professionals.
• Foster a proactive, growth-oriented culture focused on continuous improvement.
• Communicate clearly to align team goals with business objectives.
• Champion ITW values and create a safe, inclusive, high-performing work environment.
