Job summary

IDEX, a global engineering and manufacturing leader in Mott operations, seeks a Materials Planner in Farmington, CT. The role translates demand and production needs into replenishment plans, maintains schedules, and coordinates with Buyers to ensure timely material availability.

You will manage work orders, monitor safety stock, and work with Customer Service to meet delivery commitments, while ensuring data integrity in ERP/MRP systems. Strong planning and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

3+ years of materials planning or related experience in manufacturing.
Knowledge of MRP principles: lead times, safety stock, reorder points, multiples.
Experience creating and managing production work orders and PO requirements.
Ability to assess material availability, capacity constraints and risks.
Strong Excel, data analysis, and ability to drive replenishment priorities.
Effective communication to align cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain daily/weekly production schedules based on demand and capacity.
Translate demand signals into internal work orders and PO requirements.
Release and manage internal work orders end-to-end with accurate data.
Collaborate with Buyers to manage open POs, confirmations, and expedites.
Monitor inventory against safety stock targets and shortages; take corrective actions.
Identify constraints and corrective actions affecting schedules and replenishment.
Coordinate with Customer Service on order status and delivery commitments.
Maintain ERP/MRP master data accuracy and planning parameters.
