Job summary

Cooper Standard Automotive in South Carolina is seeking a seasoned Materials Manager to partner with the Operations Manager in setting manufacturing and materials strategies, budgets, and forecasts. You will oversee inventory control, cycle counts, and the development of material flow planning to meet monthly reduction targets.

Responsibilities include leading a team, maintaining IATF and ISO 14001 standards, and ensuring alignment with customer delivery requirements.

Qualifications

• Six+ years of materials management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required.
• Proven leadership and managerial skills, interpersonal skills, and personal development.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Technical knowledge in automotive manufacturing.
• Strong organization skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel, as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Safe and healthy environment for all functional team members.
• Ensure cycle counts are performed as required.
• Manage all inventory levels to meet World Class Manufacturing requirements.
• Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce inventory, WIP, raw materials, and finished goods without impacting delivery.
• Develops policy and procedures for plant operations aligned with materials management and quality systems.
• Review and update policies to reflect customer delivery requirements and information transfer.
• Accountable for the performance and results of a team.
• Provide technical guidance to employees, colleagues and/or customers.
• Support and adhere to quality programs including IATF and ISO 14001.
• May perform additional duties as needed.
