Qualifications

  • High school diploma and associate’s degree in communications, marketing, or related field; experience may be substituted for education.
  • 3-5 years administrative experience in an office environment. Marketing and social media experience
  • Knowledge, skill and ability to use social media, and related marketing tools.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills (oral and written); must be a self-starter and work independently.
  • Must have excellent communication and customer service skills, typing skills, and time management skills.
  • Must be able to multitask and solve problems.
  • Skilled at Windows operating systems.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, WordPress, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat Pro.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without sponsorship.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience: 2 or more years of experience in a university setting.
  • Knowledge of Banner, IRIS ACCESS, Argos, Slate, and 25-Live System.

Responsibilities

  • In conjunction with the Leadership Team, coordinate, collate, develop, edit, disseminate all informational materials for ELPS, including tracking projects, formatting, drafting, editing, and preparing content for publication - press releases, external and internal documentation, posting to websites and social media.
  • Responsible for department individual program websites including social media; draft, edit, upload web content and bios within branding guidelines.
  • Coordinate creation, editing, and printing of all print material to ensure compliance with branding guidelines.
  • Coordinate photo/video arrangements and permissions for website, publications, and recruitment needs.
  • Assist customers to ELPS social media platform for supplemental information
  • Monitor website in Google Analytics and provide semi-annual reports on web traffic
  • Act as logo liaison for the department
  • Register students for Banner system courses, manage permissions, and print academic history for ESM programs
  • Monitor SLATE system admissions; print applications and maintain student files
  • Prepare Annual Review Report and send out letters after committee reviews
  • Audit Admissions to Candidacy forms for all students in ESM and ACED programs
  • Coordinate with graduate students on admission and candidacy forms, comprehensive exams, graduations, and dissertation defenses
  • Assist in organizing departmental student orientation
  • Maintain and update all student files and records for ESM and ACED programs
  • Safeguard and store documents in accordance with policy
  • Assist faculty and graduate students to enroll students and complete graduation materials
  • Announce dissertation defenses to college faculty and staff via email
  • Serve as back-up for staff positions when needed
  • Provide administrative and clerical services including course documents, data reports, and textbook orders
  • Other duties as required
