Job summary

The Smithsonian Institution’s Office of Protection Services seeks a principal advisor to the OPS Director and Deputy Director on all aspects of Smithsonian-wide physical security programs, identity management, and risk management. The role requires demonstrated leadership in managing complex security programs and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent education/experience in applicable field.
• One year of specialized experience at GS-15 level.
• Experience leading physical security programs and risk management.
• Knowledge of federal security guidelines and regulations.
• Knowledge of security technologies (electronic security systems, access control, CCTV, etc.).
