Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health seeks an Emergency Services Medical Director, a psychiatrist responsible for the clinical and medical oversight of the Behavioral Health Crisis Consultation and CL services across BILH hospitals. The role supports patient safety, improves outcomes, and guides interdisciplinary teams in acute medical care with efficient consultation across inpatient units.

The position is hybrid with on-site responsibilities, supervises CL psychiatrists and on-call providers, and drives

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school and residency in Psychiatry.
• Fellowship training in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry/Psychosomatic Medicine.
• Board Certification in Adult Psychiatry; CL Psychiatry certification or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Oversee clinical and medical operations of the Emergency Services Division with the VP.
• Plan and implement a CL service structure across BILH hospitals.
• Supervise CL physicians, NPs, and other clinicians; provide clinical guidance and escalation protocols.
