Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a Land Acquisition Manager in Ocala, FL to oversee the land acquisition department.

You will manage negotiations, due diligence, and entitlement processes to secure land that meets division goals, while coordinating with design and development teams. The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 7–10 years of related experience, plus strong communication and budgeting skills. A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle are needed, with MS Office proficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Seven to ten years of related experience and/or training.
• Must have a vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
• Proficiency with MS Office and email.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and coordinate all land acquisition activities.
• Negotiate the acquisition of properties with landowners, attorneys or brokers.
• Identify and qualify potential land acquisitions in alignment with division goals.
• Manage the due diligence process on land acquisition opportunities with internal teams.
• Manage, coordinate resources for and meet all entitlement needs for land acquisitions.
• Monitor development phases and entitlement processes post‑closing.
• Maintain responsibility for departmental overhead budget.
