Medtronic in Minnesota is seeking an IT Vendor Manager, Strategic Suppliers to lead governance and optimization across hardware, software, and telecom suppliers. You will manage 8-10 strategic partners and work with Global IT leaders to deliver cost, quality, and risk improvements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or 3+ years of experience with an advanced degree.
• 8+ years working in IT operations, procurement, or vendor management; managing contractual performance and influencing outcomes.
• 6+ years working with IT suppliers, including large companies such as Microsoft, SAP, AWS, Verizon.
• Experience with vendor management data (SLAs, KPIs, financials) to measure performance.
• Experience with global teams across APAC, EMEA, and the Americas.

Responsibilities

• Direct and execute Medtronic’s vendor management strategy for a subset of top hardware, software, and telecom suppliers.
• Drive governance and partnership improvements with internal customers and shared service partners.
• Manage 8–10 strategic suppliers and deliver cost, quality, risk, and innovation improvements.
• Develop and maintain relationships with executive sponsors and delivery leads to map priorities and influence outcomes.
• Communicate performance with data-driven narratives and drive continuous improvement.
