Job summary

The Weather Company is seeking a Lead Procurement Category Manager to drive procurement for technology categories including software/SaaS, hardware, cloud infrastructure, and IT services.

You will partner with IT and engineering, interface with C-level leaders, manage multiple spend categories, and develop sourcing strategies to achieve cost reductions and supplier performance improvements. The role blends strategic sourcing with tactical execution in a global tech environment.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of procurement experience in technology or IT categories.
• Experience with software licensing, cloud services, and IT vendor management.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Source IT categories (software, hardware, cloud, services) and support strategy.
• Negotiate supplier contracts and drive cost reductions.
• Collaborate with IT/engineering and C-level for procurement needs and priorities.
• Manage multiple spend categories and strategic suppliers.
• Lead strategic sourcing initiatives and drive procurement process improvements.
