Job summary
Harris County Universal Services is seeking an Information Security Analyst, GRC to provide technical security risk, governance, and compliance expertise across county IT systems, cloud solutions, and vendor services. You will lead security reviews, identify risks, and develop risk-management processes.
The role requires guiding architecture, procurement, and audits (CJIS, PCI, HIPAA), aligning controls with NIST standards, and mentoring staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a closely related field.
- High School Diploma with industry-recognized certifications (CISSP, GIAC, CISA, CompTIA, etc.).
- Minimum five years of IT/cybersecurity risk and compliance experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead cybersecurity risk reviews for technology projects and upgrades.
- Provide security consulting on system architecture, cloud, and networks.
- Assess vendor IT services and cloud solutions for security.
- Coordinate audits for CJIS, PCI, HIPAA and track remediation.
- Develop risk-management processes, controls, and testing approaches.
- Lead AI risk reviews and align controls with NIST AI RMF.
