Job summary

The DelDOT Technology and Innovation Division seeks a seasoned IT project leader to drive modernization of high-volume, public-facing government systems.

You will plan and direct major strategic information systems projects lasting more than a year, employing SDLC methodologies, coordinating with vendors, and navigating state procurement processes to deliver reliable solutions for Delaware residents.

Qualifications

• Three years experience in designing, developing and maintaining information systems.
• Three years experience in information technology project management including planning, scheduling, staffing, coordinating, and monitoring IT projects.
• Six months experience in budget management and control.
• Six months experience in staff supervision.
• Familiarity with state procurement processes, RFP development, and vendor/contract management.
• PMP certification or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead legacy system modernization efforts for high-volume public-facing government service systems.
• Plan and direct major strategic information systems projects lasting more than a year using SDLC methodologies.
• Manage vendor relationships through state procurement processes.
• Conduct needs assessments, establish project goals, monitor resources, and recommend statewide policies for IT project management.
