Job summary

Certarus, the North American leader in low carbon energy solutions, invites a seasoned Inventory and Procurement Manager based in Houston to build systems for inventory tracking, asset distribution and strategic sourcing across North America.

You will lead a multi-site team, establish performance metrics, negotiate with suppliers, coordinate with operations, logistics and finance, and drive safe, cost-efficient material flow to support the business.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education or training in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business.
• Minimum five years of related work experience.
• Proven leadership skills with prior management or supervisor experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
• Strong negotiation skills with supplier relationships.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• SCM designations such as SCPM/PMAC/APICS or equivalent, or working towards is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with other departments to identify resources needed to establish and provide an effective inventory.
• Manage a team of direct and indirect reports located across North America.
• Establishes performance metrics for inventory levels and total cost of ownership.
• Develops and maintains detailed inventories across facilities and job sites.
• Maintains required quantity of supplies to optimize maintenance operations.
• Analyzes current inventories and procedures to improve efficiency and profitability.
• Develops policies to increase efficiency while ensuring quality and safety.
